Chat is where employees work with Tindre in a conversation that lasts. It runs as its own app with its own sign-in, and every answer is bounded by what you may read: the same Standards, Knowledge, permissions and retrieval as everywhere else in Tindre.
You
Signed in, with your own access.
The agent behind it
One Agent answers, configured by your organization.
Governed sources
The Standards and Knowledge you may read.
Chat is not Home
Home is a single field for a single question — you ask, you get an answer with its citations, you move on. Chat keeps a conversation: earlier turns stay in view, the thread is listed in the sidebar, and you can come back to it.
Neither is where Agents are built. That is Agents, in Build.
Choose a model, or let Tindre choose
The model picker offers the models your organization's policy allows, and an automatic option that picks one for the question. An administrator sets which models are available in Model policy — the picker never offers one the organization has turned off.
What you see is yours
Chat resolves your identity before it retrieves anything. Two colleagues asking the same question can get different answers, because Role visibility on a Standard and access to a Source are evaluated per person. That is the product working, not an inconsistency.
